El ampersand es un signo que proviene del latín “et” (en español “y”). //
The ampersand is a symbol evolved from the Latin “et” (“and” in English).
Su forma, ligadura de dos letras, ha evolucionado hasta convertirse en ese lazo que contiene un corazón y un infinito. //
Its shape, ligature of two letters, has evolved into a loop that contains a heart and an infinite.
Es también el camino que lleva del “yo” al “tú“. //
It is also the road that lead from “me” to “you“.
Hace tiempo me encontré un ampersand en mi camino :) //
Some time ago, I found an ampersand on my way :)
Hoy he ido de paseo por una nueva Roma. // Today I went for a walk in a new Rome.
El Pantheon había camuflado su cúpula. // The Pantheon had camouflaged its dome.
Piazza Navona era una gran pista de patinaje. // Piazza Navona was a big skating ring.
Algunas esculturas aguantaban estoicamente el frío. // Some sculptures stoically bore the cold.
Otras no tanto… // Others so-so…
Y algunas buscaban refugio en sus telas de mármol. // And others sought refuge under their marble clothes.
